Forum/ Vintage parts availability

I have not posted here in a long time. I was saddened to read about Bryans passing. Although I never met him in person we spoke on the phone a few times, mostly when I was a very new diver trying to learn as much as I could. I could tell that I was annoying the hell out of him with alot of my questions but he did his best to answer and he resisted the temptation he must have been feeling to just hang up on me. Over time I built up a certain amount of knowledge and experience both from reading this forum and working on/diving my own vintage regulators. I was still a pretty regular customer of the online store and could usually find the answer to any questions I had by searching the forum. It's been a great reference. Going forward I would support any efforts to maintain the forum. I know Ron is doing his best to keep it going for now but the future is uncertain. Aside from the forum sourcing parts to keep my vintage double hoses serviced in the future is a concern.

Just so someone answers you:

I agree with you. If someone else wants to run the store, I’m happy to keep the site going for everyone.

I’ve even considered helping run VDH, but nobody has asked me to do that.

My vote would be for Rob to do it. Rob and I have a good relationship. I’d be happy to run the site for him and to be his lieutenant in the same way I served Bryan. Every CO needs an XO as it were.

Just know that I actively work in the tech industry and if someone comes to me to help turn the store back on or to run the site or even refresh it, that I would.
