Bryan,

Sorry to hear about the adhesive problems. :(

Like Rob stated "it is your attention to detail and honesty that makes your site and products work". :D

We appreciate your efforts and are looking forward to the company making this right for you.

Well, I think you should include all of this development cost into the final price of the intitial batch.

What is the working time of the Locktite product? I noticed that the adhesive was in rope like strings it appeared on the test diaphrams? I suggest using a rsmall rubber roller to apply it to both surfaces and then quickly press them together.

I also suggest never doing a full run with an unknown product just because some engineer told you it was good. I work with engineers and correct their mistakes all the time--some of them are ugly and stupid mistakes, this appers to be one of them.

When all this got started nobody really considered how diffucult a material that silicone is to work with--except for Bryan. Can they mold the center into the diaphram?

Send me one of the damaged ones and let me see if I can clean the gunk off of it and make it bond then I will send it back to you. If it comes back with bullet holes in it you will know I was not successful.

James, 1st off you are 110% right.....I knew in the back of my mind it was stupid to try so many at once.....

ANYHOW...The adhesive company called and they sent me HEAT cure instead of room temp cure adhesive....So the diaphragms have to go in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes....CRAZY stuff. She did say that the adhesive will ooze out so if they don't look good I won't sell them......Like sands through the hourglasss....So are the Days of Our Lives.....Stay tuned kids...

I WISH I COULD DO THAT, BUT I DON'T THINK CUSTOMERS SHOULD PAY FOR MY ERRORS

Cure time was about 3 days....I put it on with a syringe. That's why it looked the way it did. I may use your idea....Kinda like doing laminate!

I also suggest never doing a full run with an unknown product just because some engineer told you it was good. I work with engineers and correct their mistakes all the time--some of them are ugly and stupid mistakes, this appers to be one of them.

ONCE AGAIN YOU ARE CORRECT!!!

MOLD MAKER NOR I LIKED THE RESULTS......

I'LL SELL A FEW. PRODUCT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD AFTER THE OVEN.....RIGHT NOW I'M OFF TO LAKE PERRY KANSAS TO JOIN IN A GATHERING OF SEVERAL THOUSAND OTHERS OF MY KIND!!!

Ryan had mentioned Silpoxy or something like that. has it been tried.?

No doubt the compnay will have a long hard look to get these things to cure properly. Its their reputation on the line...

After baking like cookies in the oven and setting up for 24hrs I am VERY pleased with how they turned out! On some of them a little of the adhesive came out around the center disc. (SEE PHOTO) If this bothers you don't order them. I guarantee without a doubt that this is THE BEST diaphragm that has ever been in a two hoser!!!! Rip will put them up for sale pretty soon. If you are not 100% happy with it, I'll give your coin back no questions asked. There are only a few in the 1st run as some have to go to the silicone compay for credit. I will have more in a week or so once these are sold out.

The proof is in the pudding......I compared the new diaphragm to the very best original diaphragm that I have. This is just a bench test but it speaks volumes....

I ordered one of each. The single stage model will go into my "wet breathing" Mistral. The other will go into my Voit Navy that is being replated.

Bryan is the man!

Well, I ordered the double stage version, and then the link disappeared from the site. Not sure what's going on.
