Absolute genius!

I’m going to have to copy and print those to hang on the wall of my office, just to intimidate my coworkers. They are dripping with coolness, in an early 60’s Sean Connery kinda way. 8) 8) 8)

Any chance you might do some coffee cups with the '58 diorama?

"Zazzle" will put anything on just about anything else.
Would be cool to see what that would look like...

Sorry gang but there is still someone contesting my new logo saying they have "rights" to it....I'm trying to work it out and hopefully will have some resolve to it soon.
If not we will work on another one. I am lucky to have the talent available to help me. Now if I only had the $$$$ to blow on expensive attorneys I'm sure it would be solved now...But every dollar I spend on an attorney is a dollar I can't spend making VDH a better place and offering more stuff for you guys.

As the person in question did not create the art work and is making a legal claim on it, that makes him lower then pond scum in my opinion. If he actually did create it I would be of a different opinion. However, I know he didn't for a fact. Just because you can do something doesn't make it right.

Thanks Jim....I've extended an laurel to try and resolve the situation but so far I have been met only with threats and other legal actions against me. Hopefully we can resolve this before it goes any further. If not I can simply bankrupt VDH, shut the website down and let them try and collect what they can from a dissolved LLC. In my opinion this is what their goal is anyway.

The original USD cylinder sticker from 1958....
Image
Now he claims that his wife drew this image and they own copyright over all other images that look remotely like it..
Image
I submit this version .....That I want to use to advertise the website and VDH in general....I'm told I am violating their rights to the artwork that they claim they are the original designers of and have copyright to..Hopefully we can come to a decision that works for both of us..

Soooo..... just because it would be interesting..... one of you VDH'er collectors of everything happen to have one of these original ads??? It was an ad, yes? not out of the '58 catalog, correct? I think it would be quite interesting to see a good resolution scan, and I feel sure someone has one in their flatfile.... :?

If I was the owner of such a fine piece of work, I wouldn't be hiding under the cloak of anonymity. Maybe the artist could do us all a favor and post all pertinent documents proving ownership?

I was thinking the same thing Ed. IF he actually has the copywrite, then then official paperwork should be easy to produce.
