It is probably due to the way I initially approached the VDH website, but I have two separate accounts with different user names and passwords for my store and forum logins. Is this normal, and is there a way to integrate the accounts? My password manager is confused.

There is not. The store uses ECWID, which is one website, and the forum uses PHPBB, which uses its own authentication mechanism.
To make your password manager unconfused, specify your accounts as:
www.vintagedoublehose.com/forum
and
www.vintagedoublehose.com
We are a small shop and doing single sign on is expensive.
Alternately, you could set them to the same thing.
