USD J-Valve Bonnet

Hi, hopefully somebody can help me out. I am in the process of rebuilding a USD solid bar twin manifold.

Does anybody know what the difference is between the j-valve bonnet for the single and the twin are? I have seen the one single referred to by the same part number as the twin (052515) and in another place the one for the single as 214204. This is the newer style with plastic knobs.

Are these parts the same and can they be interchanged. Reason being the chrome is peeling of the inside of the one I have and I need to find a replacement.

I can easily find a single j-valve If they can be interchanged and use the bonney from it. Otherwise does anybody know where I can find this part (052515) that will ship to Canada?

052515 is the correct part number for either valve, plastic or metal lever. 214204 is not a number I could find for any USD valve, it doesn't even look like a USD part number, where did you get it from. Best bet is a used single for part. A new one should be available from AquaLung but unless a dealer is willing to order one for you the used valve is the easiest and most likely cheapest way.

I have a 2005 hardcopy of the AquaLung manual and it shows the same part # for both single and double. It also makes no mention of any made in Japan valves or different reserve mechinisms. I have worked on both and mixed and matched parts and have not noticed any difference.
The 2007 manual may represent a later design change and production in Japan that is not applicable to earlier valves. There were some design changes made over the years. One was on the type bonnet, stem and seals used on the open and close knob of all valves and in those cases you can't mix and match. It requires using either all the old style or all the new style parts.
