Rob and I were discussing the high prices that Scubapro labled Healthways regs fetch on eBay. The story goes that Scubapro was the “professional” line that Healthways was promoting for the dive shop market. Healthways began having financial issues, and sold the Scubapro name to Dick Bonin and Gustav Dalla Valle for literally pocket change. That much information can be validated by a number of well respected historians. My question is with Healthways in such a financial mess, how is it that they continued producing gear up into the 70s? I am guessing that the company may have reorganized under new investors? Anyone have accurate information as to what occurred?
