Creature from the black lagoon

Mon Nov 11, 2019 2:56 pm

Has anybody worked out what regulators where used in Creature from the black lagoon? It was released in February of 1954 so production would of been in 1953. They look like USD cans with out the removable horn but I could be wrong on that observation.

DA Navy Approved?
- I wondered about that several years back and concluded it was one of the early USD Regs. Here's a publicity photo with it mounted upside down. But the exhaust holes look like its a USD AquaLung brand regulator. Also, I think there's a glimpse of a rectangular label in the actual movie.

- Does it look like the corner of a rectangular label peaking around the regulator hose?

Thanks Surflung! The regulators definitely have rectangle labels in the movie, I need to go back and watch the movie with just regulator Identification in mind.
