Could it have been used in some type of full face mask?
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

That was part of a full-face mask (like Bryan suggested). I remember seen it, but can't remember the model or manufacturer of the mask. I can almost picture the mask.

I may have more information later.

I just checked and I actually have the full-face mask with that mouthpiece adapter.

There is no identifying labels on the mask, but it was sold by US Divers at one time under their commercial diving division. I bought the mask because I recognized it. We sold it at Divers Service Center in PR.

It is shown in the following US Divers catalogs:

1972 page 36 Mark-1 Professional PN:5205 Sold for $69.95
1973 page 37 Mark-1 Professional PN:5205 Sold for $69.95
1974 Page 45
1975 Page 43

I will try to take some pictures and post them, hopefully tomorrow evening. I will try to show some details.
