Ahoy mateys. With all my kit now in, I am working on my DW Mistral the one with the nice yellow hoses.. gotta love those YELLOW hoses.

ah yes. tehre is this wheel, that doesnt seem to turn when the nut is locked down. What is the function of this wheel. It does not appear to move anything up or down, it just turns... kind oif like thge machine that goes..bing.. and does nothiung else but go bing.

I have the xploded diagram for the Mistral, but no words to follow for setup etc. I so much want to put those nice yellow hoses back on... Actually perhaps some black stretchy hoses would be better.

Why are you attempting to rebuild a regulator without a manual?

The reg is simplicity in itself in terms of how it works. I have been searching since i aquired it a fewe weeks ago for a manual or book of words to no avail.

Diagrams I have, but thre wherefore and whys I do not. With complete kits in my possession, to rebuild/refurbish, I need to find the manual or a manual.

I have been selling complete USD manuals on CD rom for 8 + months now. I know I've sent several orders to you within that time period!!!

Dont know how I missed this one. IN any event, I just ordered one.

I find I just dont get enough time for myselkf to sit down and do the things I want, its hectic here right now with work and all. erhaps over the holidays i can take more time , and view everything on the site thoroughly.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Myt Mistral project will be put on hold until the book of words arrive. I find I have just been picking bits and pieces over the last few months, rather than sitting down and putting in one large order.

You are a better man than I Treasureman. I just send my regs to Bryan and have him work his magic. He rebuilt my JET SCARE and it breathes like nobodys business. I don't fault a mechanically inclined person for doing his own work, but you can never go wrong having Bryan do the rebuild for you. PLus he barely charges anything compared to a LESSER service you would get at a LDS.

I like to understand how things work. In the end, It will probably go down to bryan for a super tune up, but there is no substitute for knowing how things work before you use them.

Mistral is a great place to start when learning how to service double hose regulators.....Getting the lever height correct takes a lot of trial and error. I don't fault you for trying at all. I just think you owe it to yourself to have all the essential information on hand to do a good job.
