Here is a link to an article I wrote 14 years ago (January 2001) about an encounter with a Great White I had. You are correct, it was "amazing." Perhaps more descriptive when them dudes sneak up on you real close is "mind-numbing terror." Just saying. :D Mark.

We took a dive sled up North to Nakwasina yesterday for a day of sled diving. After 2 dives in the 110 foot range and only a couple of crab, we decided to ditch the crabbing and just do a couple of fun dives off the point of Halleck Island.

I guess the old saying holds true: "A bad day of crab diving is better than a good day of work!" As expected the Kraken performed flawlessly and a good time was had by all.

Here is the latest shot from last weekend at the lake. I really like the extensibility of the Kraken when training people, as I can trim down the rig from having an octo, LPI, and SPG to being just a traditional style doublehose. In the pictured configuration, I was showing a student gas management and how to run a BCD with little to no air in the bladder, while not having to deal with the annoyance of an octo during a vintage class. The next picture will show that awesome new red webbing that I got from Geoff. 8)I have changed out my low pressure inflator to a Zeagle one, as you can unscrew it and run a garden hose directly to it in order to flush the bladder, which is really handy for ocean diving.

This type of setup is exactly what we had in mind all along for the Argonaut.

I'm very particular about inflators but I might need to take a look at the Zeagle.
