Great video and thank you for sharing it with us. If you guys work a little on your regulator placement you will be able to realize the maximum potential the Argonaut Kraken has for easy breathing.

So, the universe smiled upon me and I was able to order the last 2014 Argonaut(I think it was the last). :D
Right now, I would like to be posting pictures of my new reg and preparing to jump in some water. But, my wife got the package first...and....
WRAPPED IT UP AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT!
Now, I get a couple of weeks of staring at a pretty box. :?

That's cruel and unusual punishment to know that it's sitting there and you can't touch it.. tell your wife that there are some valuable collector items inside that are getting creased due to it wasn't packed to sit for that long. Yeah, that's the ticket... v a l u a b l e items in the box... Good luck. and enjoy! Mike

I noticed that the regulator that Couv is trying in this picture (with a DSV type mouthpiece) is my original Argonaut, one of the original four. I wanted him to try/test the mouthpiece.
This was in Cozumel, November 2014.

Image

That same regulator was in Cozumel in 2012 and 2013.

Image

It was under the ice in March of 2013

Image

It was chromed in April of 2013

Image

It was in Roatan, Honduras, in May of 2013:

It got new cans in November of 2013 in Cozumel:

It was in Bonaire in May of 2014:

In September of 2014 it did 46 dives in the Philippines:

Image

Notice in this picture in the Philippines that in my normal swimming position my tank slope is just under 8 degrees. That regulator is touching my back and at 8 degree slope it will only move about 1/8" vertically for every inch that it moves down my back.

Image

Between all this dives trips it has also done a lot of dives in the cold temperatures of Maine (and a few in Tacoma, Washington):

I am using the same original regulator in all the pictures above.
In all this dives the regulator was only serviced once when I took it apart in March of 2013 to have it chromed. Since then it has been operating perfectly and I have no intention on servicing it for several more years.

Argonaut Kraken

Mon Dec 15, 2014 3:37 am

Yesterday a small group of us went diving. We are members of the Historical Diving Society, Australia-Pacific.We have dive vintage Porpoise single hose here, as well as diving helmets.

In the group there were four divers using Krakens, and another two dived with Phoenix regulators. The video was made at a traditional dive haunt we regularly visit. I first dived there in 1962.

I hope you enjoy the video.

I think the awesomeness of the Krakens turned away the white pointer
