Vintage Shindigs

Mon Dec 01, 2014 7:25 am

Hey Folks,

Are there any other major vintage get togethers in the US other than Portage Quarry and Sand Dogs? Just wondering.

We are trying to put something together, but it is still in the nascent stages. It currently looks like it will be in Florida due to the demand, with California as a distant second.

Thanks for the information, Florida works good for me.

Although I am from Texas, we rarely have a good blue water vis along our coast. Lots of fish, but no vis unless you get out about 5-9 miles off the coast around some of the nearer oil rigs and gas well. Around Corpus Christi, there are plans for a artificial reef/wreck underway which will be located approximately 6 miles offshore with a max depth to bottom of 100-130 feet. Not an ideal way to just get together and do some shallow shore dive fun, which is what I gather a vintage shindig would more likely entail.
