On the next episode of Hoarders scuba style.

Mon Nov 25, 2013 3:41 am

Well GJ1963 and just started talked about the double hoses and the ones in his collections. And I asked how many he had and his words were "Well I haven't really had them all out together" so we pulled them all out and here ya go.

This type of addiction should be encouraged and supported.

There are 18 regulators on the table in the picture. All double hose. There is the one that is setup for a chestmount and it has a conshelf 14 first stage first. My wife was a bit aghast at the number. She didn't note the one that lives on my desk at work. Her, Cary and I played a game of point at a regulator and justify why I have to have that one.... But but that one is my Stream Air - It's so nice to dive... Then Cary tries to slip it in his jacket and wander off with it - It is his favorite regulator that he has ever used. But but that is my '61 Phoenix HPR - it's the ultimate regulator.... But but that's the same as the early Phoenix HPR you just justified no? Well I need one setup just for..... That? That? That's a Trieste - its perfect, I have to have one. That?? Well I have to have a brown phenolic jet air, it's to round out the single stage collection....That one? I have to have a black one too, duh! This just served to remind me I need to find a USD Royal Mistral. Someday.

All of them I have used and use in open water when I can - except for a junky DA I use for in the pool and my perpetually under restoration show piece early Overpressure. Plus I think the overpressure is out to kill me.

Quite the pile of regulators. Obviously you cannot be married or you would not be allowed to pile 18 regulators on the kitchen table  . The entire basement floor however makes a great scuba display.

Nice collection seriously.

If I put all my stuff on the dining room table like that my wife would chase me around the house with one of our AR15's. Gotta be careful when your wife was in the Army too...

I don't think so Ron. She maybe military, but she has a like interest and she married you. LOL. She would merely insist on sharing! Despite marrying you she is really good people. I've met her and that's my impression. You lucky dog.... LOL. Rest easy, you got it made!!!

My first thought when seeing the photo was "get those regs apart before your wife sees em in one place!" She may not be saying anything right now, but she'll remember it.

But seriously, fabulous collection :)

Swim Jim speaks the truth. The latest score that the Wife did not oppose was a NAVCON single hose. I am almost done rebuilding it. Now I can have my wife dive the NAVCON while I dive the NONMAG. If only we had underwater pistols....

It's a lot easier to hide 19 regulators then it is to hide 13 cars. Same goes for firearms. Luckily the wife is ok with all of them... For the most part.

My wife is interested in diving, cars, firearms etc
and when she gets bored she just sends me back to my work area.

Don't know about the rest of you but I would pay to watch that event....esp if there was a bayonet at the end of the AR. :)
