SEAHUNT AND USD?

Fri Jul 01, 2005 1:12 am

Ok I just watched the seahunt episode "mark of the octopus" I am not sure, but it may have been the pilot? At any rate it is SO obvious that Mike NElson is using a US Divers reg???? WHat gives, I thought that SH was a VOIT reg show? I know that they were pretty much the same regs with diff tags but still they looked a little different.
Perhaps Kemps Cow knows why this was? Also as a side note it appeared that all the 2 hose regs in the episode were indeed USD with the exception of a desco mask Mike used in the very beginning and a set of SCOTT HYDROPACKS used by some other divers for a short time.
Help! I cannot believe that GOMEZ would allow this to have happened????????

Hi,
Mark of the Octopus was the first Pilot Seahunt episode.
You can clearly see Lloyd Bridges was using a shiny exhaust box US divers regulator.
Now on the Sixty Feet below Airplane episode he is using a Us divers Jet air.I have a very rare Photo of lloyd bridges sitting on a chair with some directors and is wearing the yelow suit and Jet air regulator.
Courtney Brown lloyd;s double used a aquamaster with Gray Voit hoses and mouthpiece. That fifty Fathom just breathed too hard.
Extra credit what SEAHUNT episode shows a diver on the surface with a Healthways double hose on?
MOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

- What fun... To see an old hand like Rob asking the kinds of Sea Hunt questions we all do when we first join VDH. I didn't realize the date at first. :D

Oh yes there is. Mike Nelson grabs a Soviet scientist off a ship via submarine. The Scientist wishes to defect. The Soviet uses an original Healthways double hose to effect his escape.

- "Mr. Healthways" aka SwimJim knew it of course!
- Speaking of Healthways, I saw a movie on Netflix that featured Healthways with blue double hoses and treasure diving. It's titled September Storm.

The episode that the jet airplane crashed into the water...Mike uses USD Jet- Air during the show. Greg confirmed my observation back then. Several years ago.
