That's a great wrestling match! Lucky for the Octopus that it was a fairly benign Gold-Spotted Eel instead of a toothy Moray that loves to eat Octopi. Maybe they should have been left alone to let nature take its course. :?

:D Must be the narcosis.

Really, I think the guy was ok giving up the fish; he just wanted his hand back first!

Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

 The video that I saw was of an octopus holding onto a gold spotted snake eel. When I saw the response to my remarks I wasn't sure who was crazy... so I looked again and saw the video of the grouper taking the speared fish. Not sure how I got the octopus/eel flick, and I can't find it now. No, I wasn't even drinking! :? :?

OK... This is what I saw and made reference to! I haven't got a clue how I got that from clicking on the link originally posted.

Watch it and my original post will make more sense.

Sure Bill... sure.. :)

I thought the eel was going to win. Octos are incredibly strong but, because their blood lacks hemoglobin, they tire easily.
