USD Manifold Rebuild

Thu Feb 09, 2012 10:46 pm

I'm back with more annoying questions; I searched a little bit but couldnt find the answer. I picked up a US Divers manifold to rebuild for my tank project.

I haven't completely disassembled it yet but I did notice that my manifold does not have the two washers that are inside the Elbow Reserve.

There appears to be a gasket, the spring (20 - 0502-20) and then 0502-29 (Disc & Retainer)

My manifold doesn't have Item 19 - 0518-06 (Washer) or Item 21 0517-06 (Washer).

Does it anyone know if these are needed with this manifold? Also, if there is an appropriate replacement for the gasket (or o-ring)?

I have attached pictures of the parts in question.

I'll bet the last guy who rebuilt it lost them or just didn't put them back in as they can be a pain to get set.

Manifolds are not my specialty at all but don't I have those thin washers stocked in the valve section?
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

The O ring is the same as used on 3/8" LP and HP hoses. The washer is just just a #8 brass machine screw washer, only 1 is used. You can get one at your local hardware store.

Hi Bryan, I did look in your store under valve repair. I did see some teflon washers but I dont have the originals to compare so I don't know what the sizes of them are to even begin to look for a suitable replacement.

I did find an old post from Gilldiver on another forum that pictures the washers in question, along with the gasket.

Thanks. Just as soon as I went digging further I think I answered my own questions along with help from captain. I didn't realize there was already a rebuild guide under Manuals and Catalogs that I think you wrote?
