Banjo Fitting ??

I am still working on the details of getting them chrome plated before I send them out. They are not in production yet.

I thought you were going to make this ones in Stainless Steel.
Are you now thinking of chrome plated brass or bronze?
I am not at all concerned about the pressure in such a small orifice, but as Nemrod mentioned the bending could be a concerned.

If you like I could run some numbers to check how much force it would take to bend it. I would need some dimensions. Then again it is all academic, because if you drop a standing tank you can always generate enough force to bend something. Impact force is hard to predict!

I was going to do only stainless steel but a lot of people E-mailed me about chrome so I was looking into that as well. You are right, if you drop a cylinder something has to bend!

I am still strying to decide if that banjo was bent as part of the manufacturing process or if it was bent at some later point in time either by purpose or accident. It sure looks like a round, somewhat lumpy bend. Could a new banjo be machined at an angle such that there was no bend but it would have an angled face to accomplish the same thing?

I"m about 99.9% sure it was straight to begin with.....That is how they are going to be reproduced....In stainless they will be much harder to bend.....Now get back to doing great things over a NAVED and quit worrying about the banjo....Oh and keep tinkering with that hot rod scooter...I wanna put the Kemps Cow out to pasture once and for all this year at Wazee!!

Kick the Tires and Light Fires......Ink is dry and the mill is being fired up as I type....Machine shop in Patterson NJ is doing a run of these fantastic banjo fittings. Agreement says I'll have 3 samples by October 14th!!

I am going to GIVE the 1st three samples away in a random # drawing that all forum members are entered in.....

Stainless steel Banjo that will work with any size yoke your double hose has.....Keep your regulator original and dive it with any post type cylinder valve...Why cob it up with some modified yoke from another manufacturer just so you can use a pressure gauge!

Double hose is welcome here at Truk's Blue Lagoon Resort. The late founder dived one so it is accepteble. They are so layed back anything goes. The valves on the 80 cu ft tanks are fine with my currrent banjo and long yoke, but we are weathered in after diving 9 wrecks so far.

Bryan, put me down for 2 new ones, chomed brass or stainless is okay. I'll buy what ever you make first.
