Welcome to VDH Boyet. It may be a little far for us to buddy up for a dive but that doesn't matter :) I began a couple of years ago too and all I can say is "you're gonna need a bigger garage..."

Welcome to the board.
Henry (hallen41) and myself occasionally get up to Rawlings during the summer and we frequent the Rolesville quarry just north of Raleigh NC. You are welcome to come join us anytime.

Boyet! When I first saw your name, I thought to myself that it was another pinoy on the board! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! :D

You'll find that your 2 double-hose regs will multiply. Goodness knows if I lived there as well, I'd probably have more than what I currently have :P Then again, I wouldn't have access to year-round warm water, so I guess there are some trade-offs.

And if you ever find yourself back here, let me know and lets DIVE! :D

Mabuhay,

I get to Ruckersville about once a month and used to dive Rawlings quarry quite a bit but have not been there for a long time. I also began diving in the Philippines but I started around 1967. I believe you will find the diving in the quarry not as spectacular as the diving in the islands but it used to be a nice place to dive and train. I hear it is becoming quite crowded lately. I prefer to dive where it is not as congested and where I can find some relics or other neat things. I am in the Richmond area but dive in various places around the state. I would be glad to dive with you sometime.-Jim

Boyet, Have you had any luck finding any Vintage divers or groups in Virginia? I've looked around the internet but have been unsuccessful.

John
