Anna's deployment

Sat Apr 24, 2010 12:40 am

Hi everyone,

I know that this really isn't the venue, but when you get a chance please keep Anna in your hearts as she returns to Iraq for her second year long combat tour as a medical officer. She really likes a lot of you guys and girls, and I know it will warm her heart to have your support. I drop her off at the airfield tonight, which is never easy no matter how many times you do it. I will have her address in a few weeks, so if anyone feels like sending her anything that will not melt, just let me know.

It would be an honor and privilege to write and keep her company while she is deployed. Please let us know where to send fan mail. Does she prefer her vodka to come in a Scope or Listerine bottle ?

Sure this is the venue, what better way to keep up with this extended family. Now I really miss not seeing her (and you but mostly her...she is still better looking than you are :) ) at Sand Dog. Please keep us posted and if there is anything I can do for either of you, just let me know. Once she gets settled, shoot me a PM with her address and anything she may like/want/need...looks like Bryan already has the vodka taken care of.

Anna is is obviously in our thoughts and prayers. We will be sending some care packages as soon as we get her new address. As I said in the Keys I am thankful that you all have served so that I can have the freedoms that I enjoy daily. God be with Anna and all serving. Van FrankOOOOOOO out.

I have a nephew on his way to Afghanistan, not sure when he actually will get his orders, our famiy is proud of him for his service and for taking care of his wife and baby girl. Your extended VDH family is proud and thankful for Anna's service, and for your sacrifice. I echo everyone's praises and concern, as we wait for further news. Barb
