I didn't know they even made those things until one night I was watching Cinemax..... you can come across anything on there, by accident.......

No really, I think the suit is going to be cool. We watched a Sea Hunt episode not too long ago, and the scuba chick was wearing a suit that looks exactly like the one I ordered. It's gonna be cool.

Perhaps as I have come to realize I have led a sheltered life but what exactly is a fetish. The Natives of America had coyote, bear, eagle fetishes as they call little figurines they carried with them.

I am very curious if anyone has actually had one of these suits in the water, I wonder if they will actually be durable enough to use.

Well I certainly hope they are diveworthy as he advertises. I will be very upset if the suit turns out to be trash, not to mention how upset my Mermaid will be. I decided to go with an American instead of using Eliosub or diveskin. I hope that SUNSHINENOFLAKE is a quality maker.

The suits are entirely glued seams. I have had glued seamed suits and I of course have one like we are talking about on order--but--I tell ya, my experience with glued seams is that after every use you must get out the glue and patch all of the tears, holes and split seams. That is just one of the pitfalls of using old fashioned gear and old fashioned technology. I suggest that since it seems that we all will soon have loose seams that we see our way into a supply of Aqua Seal because Aqua Seal is going to soon be our suit seams best friend, we shall see if so with our suits, it seems.

My first suit was a custom made one by Central Skindivers of Jamaica, NY. It did have a nylon lining. Yes, you did have to repair it occasionally, but it wasn't any big deal. Instead of using Aquaseal, use the black wetsuit glue. Follow the directions exactly, and the new repair will be stronger than any of the original seams. Besides, we all want to dive vintage and guess what; glued, smooth-skin suits are the real deal. Just like cotton harnesses, where they did rot and were later replaced by nylon, glued suits will probably need repair. That is why now they all are nylon on both sides with glued and sewn seams. How boring.

Already got my tube of black wetsuit cement on hot standby. Guess I must be psychic; I was looking at the Aquaseal too in the LDS the other day, but something told me to get the black cement. Can't wait until next weekend to see how my new "Voit" suit holds up in the briny blue...

weused the black wetsuit cement, but fine dental floss. using a hooked fine sail needle, the type a surgeon uses to make sutures, we did the entire insde of the seams, then sealed it all with black suit cement, and never had a single seam bust in spite of marathon boogy beer fests and the like
