I took some in natural Sunlight and a few useing the camera Flash inside the house too. I posted a few pictures in my picture "Gallery", page (1) & page (2) of Front & Side views. I am not very good with a camera, but I hope the pictures are ok for you to see the regulator and it's original box. :P William

Voit Lung, NIB, N.U.

:P I have my n.i.b., n.u. "Voit Lung" mounted on the 1956 solid-green Voit scuba tank right now & it is really nice & different looking. Very professional looking, like it was a military diving outfit. The Voit tank, bands, harness, regulator hoses, mouthpiece & regulator label are all green, so it is weird looking compared to other vintage diving outfits I have on display. Very "Sea Hunt" looking to be sure, ha,ha. But I do not think that they ever used such a outfit in green on Sea Hunt. Does anyone remember if the 1956 Voit scuba tanks Did or Did-Not come from the Voit factory already-> painted green? I wonder if it was just an owner that painted it. I think galvanized tanks were the ones used in the TV show, but I am not sure. :D William

I've never seen a Voit tank painted green. Every episode I've watched of Sea Hunt lately only shows galvanized tanks, whether they're 38s, 72s or triple 44s.
Even if that green paint isn't factory, it is very 50s, with that aquamarine color. I used to have an old 50s bicycle that was almost that shade of green...

Voit Lung VR-2 & my 1956 Green Voit Scuba Tank in Galler

Sat Aug 25, 2007 10:27 pm

:P Hi :P Earlier this week I placed my used 1950s "Voit Lung VR-2" Two Stage Regulator on the 1956 "All Green" Voit Scuba Tank I won on eBay and took a bunch of Pictures of it, set up just like it would be, like in the 1950s. :) I then put these new Voit pictures in my "Picture Gallery" here at VDH so I could share them with you all too. {{{ It is Very different looking to be sure.}}} It looks Very different from Any other Vintage Diving Outfit I have, in that it is just about Totally Green. The Tank itself, the Bands, Straps the Hoses the Mouthpiece and the Regulator Label all green. Soon as I can I will be putting the 1950s Voit Lung Tank Decal on the green Voit Tank too, to see how it will look with it having the correct decal on her. ( It is a Beautifull Decal and I placed a picture of it at the Picture Gallery too, so friends can see how different and cool it ilooks. This is one vintage diving outfit that I do plan on diving with all the guys at some of the VDH vintage diving meets for great fun. It also, has the strange looking and rare R-Valve on the Tank. That Valve is very different too, because it does NOT have the (U.S.Divers Stamping) on the Valve. I have 4 other R-Valves and every single one of them does have the US Divers Name stamped on them. {"I am Wondering if Voit actually DID use the R-Valve on their Factory Tanks that were made & sold back in the 1950s.?. :D William

Some of Voit's post type valves were made by Sel-Pac, and are not compatible with USD valves. Fred Roberts' book mentions this. I have four Voit 50s with post valves and all of them are Sel-Pac, which confirms what's in Basic Scuba..
