What do I have here?

The can says it is a DW Mistral from Pico Blvd. But, the insides don't match the drawings. Is this a bastard reg?

In essence it is a Mistral as far as performance & design, but the parts are from a Voit - Polaris 50 or Blue 50 Fathom. Nothing that should bother you unless you an exteme purist. Like myself....sometimes

Any tricks to setting the cracking pressure? It looks like the only adjustment is sliding the lever place back and forth.

......Good rule to start with.....Adjust lever so it is even with the top of the case...If the diaphragm is stretched you might have to adjust it slightly higher than the case to get the least amount of cracking pressure possible.

JMO......Your results may vary.
