Mistral D H Regulator with White Label + Green Lettering

Fri Jan 12, 2007 6:46 pm

:) I have this picture of an unusual double hose regulator Mistral Label on the regulator body and it is a White Label with Green Lettering. Seems to be Very Rare as I have Never seen this one before or since. Can anyone help with the Year of Manufacture, any Differtences between it and the Yellow Labeled Mistral &/or the Stream-Air Mistral? Any information about the differences it has to other regulators and why they seem to be so rare will be very appreciated. Thanks much. :P William

Well, I can't say for sure. But my guess is that label is a sticker that went over the JC Higgins regulator label that US Divers manufactured for Sears. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like cans are blue. Is the label a sticker or actually a metal label? I know somebody who has that regulator with that label on it. He noticed that the label was stuck on, pulled it back, and there was a JC Higgins label underneath.

That is a great thing to hear. :D Thank you. I beleive you are right myself. But I only have the picture so I can not give any facts. I will check around still though and see what I can come up with. I DO have a couple of friends that are real-pros with vintage gear and they are looking into this too. :P William
