Drysuit Valve

Sat Mar 15, 2014 7:56 pm

I have been working on reproducing the UDT suit style of valve for drysuits. The school I teach at has a 3D printer so I have been playing around with it. While my first attempt didn't print out that good its a great move forward.

While I continue working I wondered if people would be interested in a T-Valve version of it? While I am finishing up the duck valve version right now thought might be a bit more low profile for a simple t-valve.

The valve does screw together, and because its ABS plastic would be lighter then aluminum. The print out isn't as sharp as it could be I'm guessing its because of the printer I am using. I did order myself one to continue to work on projects but won't be here for a few months.

Nice to see you are still working on this! You are as stubborn as I am once you decide to do something :) Keep us posted as you progress to the finished part.
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Yep still at it, work was stressful for a while and I needed to focus on work and put all projects on the back burner. Now that work is better I have started working on projects again.

I'll probably be uploading the STL files some place once I am finished with it. So people can print their own if they desire. I'm hopeful when I get the printer I ordered its quality will be much better than the schools printer.
