Re-Chroming

Fri Nov 18, 2011 8:45 am

I tried to order a re-chroming in the store but noticed it no longer exists. Can we nolonger get regulators re-chromed?
Someone told me that diving a double hose reg will kill me. I had no idea these things were dangerous.

Not in the VDH store. But you can get it done here: http://www.barchromeplating.com/Home.html

They have done work for VDH members in the past, so can probably help you..

Following this thread:

I sent my Overpressure to them for rechroming. It's still in process. Seem like good people with decent prices - so far.

Hey guys...still chroming. I just took a little break for a bit. I'll be firing up the tanks again soon.

Pretty quick with the BAR recommendation though....

I believe this says it all:

I still hold by that, Bar is good, DB is better.

DB, welcome back to the hunt, haven't seen/heard from you much lately. Want to know about aluminum finishing in India? I am now a bit of an authority........

Sorry, the impression I got was that you were not doing rechroming anymore for whatever reasons. The OP asked about rechroming so I posted a link to someone who does it..

Man, I'm glad DB is back.
I didn't want to send my DA anywhere else.
