Duckbill Eliminator

I finally dove my PRAM with the new duckbill eliminator yesterday. I've been diving my RAM the last few times which has a regular duckbill. The difference between the two exhausting air is remarkable. Exhaling with the eliminator is so effortless that I would compare it to exhaling using my conshelf. I found myself having to quit making a forceful breath out and just exhaling like I would with any good single hose reg.
The other great improvement comes when installing hoses on the reg. It is so much easier to put the exhaust hose on the reg when you don't have to stretch it over the duckbill every time.

Was your original duckbill prior to DBE installation the rubber or silicone version?

The duckbill was all silicone.

I had the opportunity to use my Voit Navy PRAM yesterday while making two "slush" dives with Rob. My newly installed duckbill eliminator worked perfectly, as was expected. I am going to install one in my "everyday use" Voit 50 Fathom sometime this week.

Bryan has created another winning product. It just gets better and better...

Thanks Greg....I can check under the ice off my list for them then! We all know that's a test I was never going to do myself A couple of divers said they were not sealing correctly and water leaked by. I asked both to be sure the silicone bead was wide enough to take up ALL the space between the eliminator and the walls on the inside of the horn. When they tried them again that fixed the problem. Don't be conservative when you put the silicone around the outside edge. What is not needed will squeeze out around the edges and you can remove it. Get half a dozen Q-tips and carefully and slowly roll the tip as you move along the edge where the extra sealant has squeezed out. When you make a pass THROW THE Q-tip AWAY and start again with a new one. After a couple of passes all the excess will be gone and you will have a great seal! Don't forget to remove any that has squeezed out on the inside of the horn. Hope this helps.
