Tank size?

Wed Oct 27, 2010 7:32 pm

I have US Divers tanks that are 6.9 dia., approx. 23.75 tall to the base of the valve.
They are DOT 3AA 1800, original hydro 6 69+ there is a circled L in the hydro.

What do I have?

Thanks
Scott

I don't have any actual specs, but I had a set of double 53's in the dive shop in the early 70's. I recall them as being noticeably buoyant compared to 72's.
The older I get the better I was.

Here they are all finished.
Stripped, painted, tumbled to remove lining, hydroed, new one piece manifold, decals and boots to stand them up

They look great!
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Excellent Job. :D Could you post the color numbers used for the paint? Manufacture of paint? Others including myself would like to know. Thanks in advance.

After stripping the tanks I cold galvanized them with ZRC.
Next I gave them a coat of white Rust-oleum primer.
The yellow top coat is also Rust-oleum #251551 Sunburst Yellow.
The only down side was the drying time of the Rust-oleum.
