Unusual Non Magnetics ???

Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:40 am

These are not mine, they belong to a customer but since they are so unusual I thought you guys might have some thoughts/comments on them. Or just enjoy seeing them.

The chrome bottom can is obviously from a late model RAM/DA because of the serial number stamping. It has a long yoke but the main body and nozzle from a Non Magnetic??? The trident stamp is on the non mag parts….
C. Conde and NSDS is stamped on both…..Quite an unusual rig.

The other regulator has the stub hookah port that is typical of the Non Magnetics but it has 0 trident or low mu stampings that I can find anywhere?? The casting on the can is very rough and unlike any others I have seen before. I believe it to be a legit non magnetic but as far as my limited knowledge goes I’d have to put it in the WTF category….

Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

I believe that the NSDS stands for Naval School of Diving & Salvage.

The current Navy Dive school is called NDSTC - Naval Diving & Salvage Training Center and is located in Panama City, FL.
