Bargain RAM purchased from VDD

Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:43 pm

I finally got a chance to use the RAM I bought from VDD. I came really close to not purchasing the unit since it was a bargain price and I had not dealt with VDD prior. NOTICE TO EVERYONE-IF VDD SHOWS A BARGAIN FOR SALE DON'T HESITATE BUY IT.. I dove the unit in 5' visibility and yet felt totally comfortable. It breathes great, no draw problems at all. In fact I think this 40+ yr old RAM breathes easier than the units I used as a child. No draw problems except when the BC I borrowed rode up and then just rolling to my side cured that. Yes I know a true vintage diver doesn't use a bc- it had been 15yrs since I was underwater and I felt the bc a necessary safety. Oh yea I'm also fat and old but was unable to over breathe the unit. Message to 1969ivan1 -long in the tooth at 37?--wait it gets worse at 54

Am I correct in assuming that VDD = VDH (VintageDoubleHose.com)? :)

Everything that Bryan offers for sale is a bargain when you take into consideration the time and effort he puts into his products and regulators. If that doesn't convince you just remember that it really beats getting stuck with a basketcase from eBay. 8)

OBTW, at 37 Rob already feels like he's 54...

You are correct- I am incorrect its Vintage Double Hose how I decided to use the initials VDD is beyond me. I guess senility is starting early.

I agree....The last time I felt Rob he felt like 54....LOL.....Now I need to find some mind bleach to rid myself of that thought....

Thank you for the kind words!!
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB
