Gulf was about 18 inches from my front door and back door. We faired OK. I am on generator power and the beer is cold. Did this drill more than once. Now the clean up begins.
Seems like hurricanes have a zero on the Crescent City as of late. My brother and sister are riding it out, brother lives north of the lake and sister lives in the city, she has some damage.
I am relieved to hear from Captain and that all is well (that is important--like beer ), you know if anyone is prepared, he is.
Good news Tom. Keep us updated. I may be down in two weeks as I am on call for the Red Cross and my number is up for a 15 day stint. Will keep you informed if I get close to y'all. van FrankOO
We lost the internet for about 48 hours, cable TV is hit or miss. We got water back Friday afternoon and power back last night. Things are improving slowly. Tailgated at the LSU/North Texas game yesterday in Baton Rouge. Beer still cold. All part of life in south Louisiana.
YEP! LSU Tailgate? You and Cyndy are back in the grove...Neither rain flood or hurricanes can keep you from LSU games
We were up at 6:00 AM to see ND destroy Navy 50 to 10 in Dublin Ireland...Later on to CalPoly to see CalPoly destroy SD State...The season has begun...
