It is great to see ALLANS swell harness on the vintagedoublehose page! Allan restored several original harness sets for me, and they are as good or better than the originals. Count on him for a super job. Broxton Chuck

Now back to my original post. Technical difficulties, you know. Anyway, I was able to get good copies of original bands made in stainless steel. I have made harnesses in USD blue which, fortunately, were very close to the original. I have had inquiries into a reproduction of a Voit harness which was green. Does anyone know what this green looks like? I would appreciate any information if you can give me an idea. Thanks.

Allan, could you make a harness for the set of 30cf doubles that I have? I could send you another set of bands. Do you have the facility to cut the holes in the stainless where the webbing goes ?
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Definitely love to make it. I have a guy who can cut the slots, but he isn't the least expensive. The new bands for the single 72s had the slots cut by laser when the bands were made, so that was no problem as they were flat stock. With your double bands curved already, it may be an issue. but then I would have to ask him. Like I said he isn't cheap, he charged me $40 for my first harness I made before the new bands. Maybe you can find someone locally who can cut them. My guy used a mill.

I just saw the VOIT GREEN vintage repro harness from ALLEN K. And it is a perfect color match to the original foil "VOIT" sticker on his 1955 tank. What a honey!! His new bands are great too. Im ordering two sets. Nothing but the best. Chucko

Allen,
Do you have any of that cotton webbing to make a new weight belt for me? My old one is a bit frayed. I have the little one pound weights.

At this time I have only the 1" webbing for the harnesses and some 2" that I double for the shoulder pads. I wish I could get the thick 2" that was used on the weight belts. Sorry.

Allen,
That is what I need> The one inch webbing. Do you have some to spare for a weight belt? I have the ancient tiny weights with the one inch slots and a D-Ring belt closure. Grey color is fine if you have any extra to spare. If not, that's ok......But let me know if you get any more in later. Thanks... Gayle

Email me directly through this forum. I can definitely supply you with the 1" material. I can dye it for you or you can dye it yourself. Let me know how much you need.

speaking of voit stickers

Speaking of Voit stickers, is someone here having some made?

I know someone with an old Voit tank, white vinyl coated variety & it could use a new sticker.
