Tank liners

I was reading an article on tank cleaning from GMC and came across "Steel Tank Liners". Said US Divers used a process Called Vertonizing from 62-64. Blue colored liner. Brown and red liners were used by other companies from mid 60's to early 70's. My question is; did US Divers quit doing liners in 64 or did they continue on into early 70's? Is there a way to tell which tanks have said liners by ID numbers on the tanks or was it used across the board, so to speak? Sounds like it became the problem rather than the solution, quote un quote. This is my first post. Hope I did it correctly...
