If you use the intake hose I suggest using a support rod and get the intake up about 3 or 4 feet off the ground.

Update 5/13/2025

- I haven't used this beautiful little compressor anywhere near enough. I have two other compressors that are electric powered in the house and garage. So this little Coltri MCH-6 doesn't get set up much other than when I want to play with it. I have brought it on dive trips and it has served me well filling tanks reliably with good air. But I'm finding I prefer to bring a bunch of full tanks on these trips so I don't have to do tank fills between dives.

- I thought of switching it to an electric motor like SwimJim does... It can always be switched back to gas power. I know it would get alot more use if I could just flick an electric switch and fill tanks in the house or garage. But I already have two electric powered compressors. So, I have decided to look for a new home for this little MCH-6 friend.

P.S. Quite awhile ago, I switched the position of the back pressure regulator to the end of the fill whip.
Here's the BPR/Yoke I made from a vintage USD tank tester...
