thanks for your opinion and info, bryan. the stream air i have came with some petrified black hoses clamped on with rusty tinnermans to a straight black kleer ease mouthpiece. the regulator i have does have the mistral sticker on it and a nozzle that looks like a mistral. but the nozzle does not point directly into the horn.
i have seen enough regulators modified to have thought that someone might just have installed yellow hoses at a later date. the dx overpressure regulator that i picked up was completely missing the original hose/metal mouthpiece setup and someone had installed a mistral nozzle, black hoses with the straight kleer ease black mouthpiece. this i believe this was a common practice with the dx overpressure model.
