Rebuilt US Divers Jet Air pool test

Sun Jun 21, 2015 11:39 pm

Short video of a pool test of the US Divers Jet air I just picked up on Ebay and rebuilt. I didn't have to replace much and those are the original hoses and mouthpiece.

Sweet little regulator. Can't wait to take it out in Open water.

It wasn't bad at all. I suspect a silicone diaphragm would make it a bit more responsive but breathing wasn't hard or noticeable for me.

I used my pram with new hpr and new silicone diaphragm right after and it was effortless and really was amazing.

But the jet air has the cool factor for me. I gotta compare it to my mistral with new diaphragm and see the difference. With those two also.

Nice label. I had to go back and pause the video, but is that original? Not sure I've seen one that clean.

And you better get a couple more regs - Zane is going to need a kit real soon!

Label is a reproduction from Bryan's store. The original one had a big gash through it. I had my wife who is a package/graphic designer affix the label since if I did it, it would have been terribly crooked.

The hoses and mouthpiece are original though and aside from a tiny bit of cracking near the can horns are in very good shape so I decided to keep them on there.

This is probably my favorite reg, at the moment. It just looks cool.

This is what it originally looked like.

Non venturi vis Venturi....The difference is significant. Human perception is a very poor indicator of actual performance though.
