Help with restoration

Mon May 08, 2006 3:56 pm

Hey guys!

I'm asking for anyone that can provide me with a good scan of a lable from a c1973 Aquamaster reg. Not the Royal.
I'm looking to silkscreen a new aluminum label for my now nude reg.

Just so I'm on the same page, it's the Aqualung tank logo.

I can't seem to find a full on square scan anywhere.

Thanks!

BTW: If there's anything I can do for you, just ask!
I've been a commercial diver since '73 and have several 70's air hats that I regularly dive. Glad to have found this forum!

I would stay tuned to this station for a few weeks. I think there will be some reproduction labels that you are seeking available soon.....Not done by me of course, my art talents died after my 1st box of 8 crayons!
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

In a past life I was a graphic artist for a major toy company, but I didn't get along with the potato heads there, and went back to school and became a mechanical engineer.

Now, retired, I have my own shop, and I'm into doing many things. (hopefully a xmas gift, a cnc workstation).

The labels arn't very difficult, and not that expensive to make in small quantities.

Just need a good scan to start from.

Thank you!

I'll try it, the problem has been to get a square flat-on scan.
Any tilt or angle adds a lot of distortion when it is enlarged.

I'll take the photo, convert it to a vector graphic and try to remove any twist.

This is the best picture I've been given.

All my other tries were converting a tank decal, and making the font.
(way too much work)
