Found a old Stream Air and a DA AquaMaster (black cans) but owner only wants to display these vintage regulators. The AquaMaster has the non mag indicator on the body. I'm not sure it is the original cans on this one.
Anyway here is what they look like now. Going to put hoses and mouthpiece on them so they can be displayed. I'd really like to rebuild the DA but LDS only wants them for show. Owner isn't a big vintage fan.

Keep an eye on that one...It's unusual even by non magnetic standards..

I agree with Bryan. Never seen a label like that one before, in the flesh or on the net. Pretty interersting for sure.

I think I've seen that label before on a site. I thought it was the transitional model from USD TO biosystems. Someone here has one...maybe Karl or Mike.

The Navy did use the black cans. It was to protect the cans since they didn't have a protective coating due to non-mag materials.
At one point I (and my ex-father in law) had about 3 of the non mags. He would order them as parts for his sub repairs. That way we had plenty of regulators. Hurricane Wilma in 2006 spread all the dive gear in his shed into the bay by the house. Wish I had saved at least two of those regulators. I remember that we even tried to have two sets of the twin 90's sent to the sub. His skipper turned down that request. I miss RC as he passed away in 2012 from cancer. We did have some great times diving in Key West that's for sure.

Great find, as both are nice regs to have in your collection. The StreamAir is a very rebuildable and reliable single stage, it can be upgraded with a Mistral nozzle and you will have the standard of all single stages.
As far as the non-mag goes, I believe that you have one of the later USD models. There were three or four runs made from the mid-60s until the early 70s. The last run or two had the label you have, earlier runs had painted brass labels. Internally, you should have some gold plated pieces (5 if memory serves). All in all a nice non-mag from the photo.

George (USDiver) and I are both pretty big fans of the DW Stream Air regulator. It isn't a Mistral, but what is right? We both use ours regularly. It is of note that it is identical on the inside to the mistral minus the nozzle, or rather the Mistral is identical to it as the DW Stream Air was first chronologically. If you get your mitts on it, show us which nozzle is in it and we can tell you if it was modified into a Mistral or not. They are awesome regulators though, and mine has seen plenty of use.
