Unusual regulator thread .....

Dale posted an unusual Healthways regulator in another thread. Thought it might be fun to post others you might have or know of.
If you have one, double or single hose post pictures of it along with what makes it unusual...

May not be that unusual but I submit my Voit Titan II. Last picture shows chromed brass cap from this one vs. plastic cap from a later Titan II. As well as plastic second stage plug from the later Titan II vs. partially machined second stage from this one.

I have two of those first stages with the plastic plug. I didn't know that they came any other way.

This might be my most unusual regulator... and it works pretty well too.
I don't know very many divers that have even seen one, much less dived one.

Actually, it's a pretty darned good idea in the water. The valve works flawlessly to change back and forth between the snorkel and regulator functions, but popular interest just wasn't there, and the idea just faded away.

The exterior rubber is in like new condition, and the metal parts are excellent for its age, but I did have to make a new diaphragm for the second stage. Fun to dive with, and always a conversation starter at a dive site.

Here's an unusual lever config I came across in a batch of regs I recently got:


I find it unusual in that the lever originates from the left side of the reg, which allows moving the poppet and orifice toward the middle of the reg, right below the mouthpiece:


It came from a batch of regs that included this 1st stage:


I took it apart, and found it to be similar to a Mk5 internally - though the dimensions of some of the threads were different, hence they're not swappable. Not sure if the 2nd stage is a match for this 1st though...

The only way to really test the FSDS system was to run out of air!

We used to demo them in the pool by having the diver wearing it breather off another regulator till the FSDS feature kicked in and started slowly filling the BC...

The standard Watergill regulator was TOUGH and made great rental/student regulators...Not the prettiest girl at the dance though...

Here's another one I found unusual. I was always under the assumption that US Divers/Aqualung never made a metal 2nd reg with an adjustment knob - until I saw this reg being put up for sale on a local site here:

My search for more info on an Aqualung Sea Frontier 250 "J" turned up squat.
