This is not the way

to repair a leaky HP seat on a Jet Scare/Mistral......I'm guessing here but I'd say the HP seat was leaking so someone put a brass machine screw in the end of the HP spring so it would take up space between the seat base and the spring and put more downward pressure on the seat thus making the leak stop.......I bet breathing through this thing was like sucking a golf ball through a garden hose!!

Plus they packed the nozzle, seat and spring with a big ole glob of some type of water resistant grease....

Just when you think you have seen it all .....

I wonder if they did this to stop the HP leak in order to be able to dive it or in order to be able to sell it???

Speaking of CLR, the bottle I saw specifically said DON'T use on brass or copper. Are there different types of CLR?

The nozzle on this regulator is just as messed up. I'm hoping to find a donor regulator or a Mistral body assembly....
