Vintage diving, once upon a time

Wed Dec 21, 2005 9:16 pm

Been running thru some old photos I took back in Okinawa and thought someone might be interested in seeing these. Here are two of a Marine dive buddy by the name of Jim Underwood. This dive was at a place called Monza Beach, date was April 71. Was not a sunny day, remember it as cloudy and windy. Dive was great even tho we had to swim against a 6 knot undertow to get back to the dock.

We rode the tide in kicking like ell' and hung on to the dead coral as the 6 knot tide ran out......great sport.......

Camera was a Nikonos II with a 35 mm lens, no flash.

Hey Bryan, I think I've figured out this photo reduction bit.....at least somewhat.

Also one of myself then and one of myself now with my twin 38's and Tekna reg prior to discovering I could have my double rebuilt....... .......James, threw in some flowergarden photos of that turtle I keep gabbing about..........also some techie's using NItrox and digital cameras. My photos? All taken with a Nikonos II, no flash.
