Questions on a couple of regulators

Tue Nov 18, 2008 8:24 pm

Guys, I was given two older regulators along with some other older dive gear today. The regulators I would like to know more about are a Nemrod Snark III Silver engraved and a DA auqumaster Auqa Lung. Can these be serviced for use? The hoses on both seem to be in good condition, but I'm sure need to be replaced. Is there a good source for them. Sorry if this is a common question, but I am definitely new on the idea of a double hose reg. Thanks for your help with this. Kevin

Welcome to VDH

Yes, both of those regulators can be serviced and dived. Specially the Aqua Master.

You actually came to the right place to have it serviced. Bryan in this web site will service any US Divers (now Aqua Lung) or Voit regulator.

If you look under the store you will find links for service and for many parts including new replacement hoses.

If your hoses are in good shape, you can still use them, but the new silicone hoses are also very nice to dive with. It also lets you save your original hoses for display, etc.

You can also find regulator diagrams and other information in the down load section and there is a CD in the store with a full 1971 repair manual for US Divers.

Good luck and have fun.

Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

You have two fine regs. Better check out the vdh store for most of what you need.

Welcome to vintage diving, those are two great regs.

Hi man, welcome to VDH. I think you'll find this place full of good information. Like others have said, I would search the forums for info, and also check the VDH store. I'm not affiliated with the store, but they have lots of parts and services availible to get your doublehose regs ready to dive. Be careful, vintage diving is ADDICTING. 8)
