Hi,
I opened a 1953 US Divers blue label reg and the diaphragm is new to me. This reg is in very good shape and I suspect the reg has not been dived much nor worked on recently. I would like to understand what was original from US Divers.
The diaphragm is in two parts: a gray ring-type seal and the diaphragm. The diaphragm is made of two brass plates riveted together sandwiching a thin (and now very hard) brown rubber membrane. The bracket that engages the second stage arm is brass and riveted onto the two plates. This looks close to the one in my CG45 except the plates in the CG are resin. Is this just a typical US Divers diaphragm from 1953?
The duck bill in this is the old Broxton type. It is tied on with black thread and no glue. . There is no lettering on either side of the duck bill. Is this s reproduction? Were all factory duck bills embossed with US Divers?

1953 US Divers Diaphragm???
