Leaky Hookah Port Adaptor

Sun Apr 22, 2007 2:24 pm

I just got my PRAM cans back from powder coating. I think the reg looks great and I can't wait to post photos of it.

So far the only problem I am having is that the LP adaptor is leaking by on the hookah port. This still happens with other adaptors but not the hookah plug. The adapters work on my other DAAM.

I was thinking of using pipe thread tape. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Which adapter is it? If it is the old compression fitting version, it may never stop bubbling. If it is the newer type that uses the nylon washer, put in another washer for a total of two washers. Works for me, I hate leaks.

I tried 2 before, but for $hits and giggles I tried it again. Not a leak. I'll go and sit in my corner for a while now and keep quiet.

I had the same problem. Mine seemed to bottom before it really sealed off on the nylon gasket so I doubled it up and snugged it down, no more bubbles.
