I would like to cut some neoprene LP seats and would like to get some idea what durometers would be appropriate.

Second stage seats are normally pretty generic - except for a few Dacor models.

When I 1st started putting together service kits for 2 hoses I had the 2nd stage seats cut from neoprene and silicone rod stock…..The problem with cutting them is that there is a certain degree of compression to the rod stock when it is held so the knife blade can cut it. That causes there to be an ever so slight deflection in the angle of the seat when it is cut. It will work fine, never had a problem with them… but after having a few ultra critical armchair divers criticize my 2nd stage seats as being junk, poorly produced, poor quality control etc. I spent the coin and purchased a mold and the correct materials. Cost a lot but the seats I make now are as good if not better than the originals.

Just my 2 cents worth on the process…
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB
