Unfortunately there isn't any new information (or new yellow hoses). Here's what Stuart said back in January:

Hello everyone,
Good news is that my tooling is operational, but the bad news is that I'm no longer marketing my hoses. I know there are some of you who have been waiting very patiently and really want the hoses, but my general opinion from reading what people have been writing is that most people want cheap domestic hoses. I can't afford to have a quantity made and be left sitting on them.
I wish Dan good sales and once again sorry for the disappointment.
Stuart

Dan was supposed to have gotten yellow hoses in February; now that's gone by, and the yellow hoses are no longer mentioned on his website..
Deal must have fallen through...

Not exactly. There was a problem during the manufacturing process and the hoses did not meet specifications. Per Dan:
Quote:
The color is correct and the overall hose has the correct wall thickness- only the large cuff is too thin. As a result, the factory US Divers plastic clamps will not tighten down correctly (the Tinnerman clamps will work ok). Also, these yellow hoses seem to work ok with the reproduction straight mouthpieces because they have slightly thicker walls than the originals. To use these yellow hoses with an original US Divers mouthpiece and factory plastic clamps, you will have to add 2 wraps of electrical tape to the mouthpiece boss to built up the thickness and allow the clamps to tighten down. Because of this Mickey Mouse procedure, these hoses SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR DIVING and should be for display only. I hate to even sell a product like this but I am between a rock and a hard place. The price will be $30 a pair plus shipping.
If you want a pair of Dan's hoses you'll need to PM him over on VSS.

I am moving this whole thing to the already long and boring Yellow Hose thread in the Vintage Discussion Form.......Since there is no one actually buying or selling them it really does not belong here.......
But rumor has it that Stuart is going to start shipping hoses pretty soon ??
