There are plenty of divers that are not going to do a search on Google or anywhere else for something they don’t even know they are interested in. They only find out they are interested in it after they see that other divers are diving this type of gear.

How do I know this, several of our members have join us this way.

There are also several members that found us at SB and they occasionally post here, but they are still very active at SB. They are also customers of Bryan.

There have even been a number of divers from SB who had double hose regulators (from their father, grandfather, etc.) that were not aware of our community and the services offered by Bryan and Dan until they saw some post at SB.
I joined here recently having found my way here from the "Sea Hunt" section at SB.
I was stuck in the old ways since 1970 and didn't have a clue that there was such an active community of vintage divers out there! Local divers looked at me like I had just surface out of the black lagoon.

Welcome to this board....don't know about you but for me half the fun of vintage diving is the looks I get......esp working my way through an OW class. :)

thanks for the welcome.
My next order of business is to find a double hose. I've been looking on Ebay and bid on a few. Lost out to Bryan on one in the last few minutes of the auction! He'd have been getting it anyways to do the service on it.
Keep your eyes open for an Aqua-Master for me. Preferably a Royal.

Yarr, keep a sharp eye on the store section of this site. Bryan rebuilds regs and then sells them. So instead of getting the ebay "surprise", you pay a few dollars more and get a regulator ready to go. That will save you a lot of headaches.

In 1970 I was just a kid and saved up my summer work money and bought my first Scuba stuff. A Healthways 72 and a RAM. On about my 5th dive trip, it was stolen out of the back of the car at Lake Simcoe in Ontario, one beautiful summer saturday. I never replaced it and used a Healthways Scubair B to this day. It's time to fix that!
I still have and use the reg and tank though.

A Royal aka RAM sold last night on eBay for a little over $250. It was miss labeled as a Calypso. It had a Calypso yoke screw. If you want a RAM you would be wise to wait until Bryan offers one in his store. That way it is really to go. A better bet, might be to get a DA Aquamaster and have it converted to a RAM by way of a Phoenix nozzle which should be available come January. DAAMs are nearly always on eBay and with a Phoenix nozzle ready to dive you won't be sorry.

I had a bid on that one up to 240. I was top of the heap until the last hour or so!.
I don't need to have an authentic RAM. The upgraded DA would be perfect as well. I want to have a driver, not a trailer Queen!
