The Navy's use of 3000 psi tanks goes back to at least the DA Navy Approved. I had a 1955 Navy repair manual which showed the 3000 psi 90 cuft cylinders and the the DA Navy Approved. This was several years before the long yoke for the banjo fitting or the heavy yoke appeared.
