Hey Bryan,

Granted $200.00 is about what me and my buddy were thinking if we sold a reconstituted Hope-Page, the difference would be that ours would be made of 4032
T-6.
That being said $200.00 is cheap compared to a DSV and you have a lot of kooky people who would buy one just to be the first kid on their block to have it. You might as well put me down for one when you guys are done with prototyping and R&D.

As I said earlier in this thread the new mouthpiece will cost around $80.00 with a discount for Argonaut owners as it will be the standard on them in the future

As I said earlier and on many other threads...We are developing DSV style mouthpiece....Dive Surface Valve......Currently you can buy a DSV mouthpiece made for the Drager Revo rebreather for around $260.00. It is the most inexpensive DSV mouthpiece currently on the market. It looks similar to a Hope Paige with a small lever on the front to shut it on or off.

Ours will do the exact same thing with an improved design over the Drager and will be 70% cheaper .....I'm making lots of them so no need for a pre order list.
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

Boiler81: Thanks for the link. Great article. The forum on this website has the BEST community, with the largest wealth of knowledge of it's chosen subject matter, of any site on the web that I've ever stumbled upon. Love it. Hey, I see that you're in SE Mich. So am I. 3 blocks from the Saint Clair River. I'm very fortunate at the moment, indeed. Ever dive the river?

No, I have never dove in the river. I really don't have much of a desire either. I am NW of Detroit.

I can understand that. It really isn't quite for everyone. The older I get, the less fun the challenges that it poses tend to be getting, sometimes.

Hi,
the invention of a mouthpiece with non return valves was very important for the diving with DH regs.
In the U.S. the first was the Hope-Page-Mouthpiece I think, and in Europe the mouthpiece for the Royal Mistral from La Spirotechnique was the first.
But which part of both was really the first?
Was there a connection between the two inventions, perhaps via Gagnan?
When did Rory Hope exactly invented the mouthpiece?
Has anyone the patent concerning the mouthpiece?
It would be interesting to know this detail in the developpement of the diving technology.
Regards,
Lothar
