Early DA Aquamaster 1958?

Fri May 08, 2015 4:31 pm

Just acquired an early DA Aquamaster. From what I gather from the literature, this one probably was in the summer production run for 1958 due to its having a hookah port, but no serial number. The hoses are obviously later due to their having the nylon clamps and the curved mouthpiece. I would like to put yellow hoses with a yellow Kleer Ez on it, but the purist in me says black. Any suggestions?

Well Russ, I think you probably have some "purist" versions of vintage regs (I like most of mine that way too), but why not have some fun with this one, and make it purty with some yellow hoses? If the Vintage cops ever come calling you can quickly switch the hoses.

Roger That!

Besides, they didn't start numbering till mid way of 59, but in 59 they put "PURDY YELLER" hoses on them that year. I'll watch out for them thare scuba Nazi purists though.

Thanks, Russ
