Healthways Gold Label Scuba

Thu Oct 09, 2014 11:48 am

Sorry for another newbie question, but I'm a newbie.
Anyway, I picked up a Healthways Gold Label that was in excellent condition except for the inside of the valve body, which had a a fair amount of verdigris on in it. I disassembled it, and cleaned it up, along with all the internals.
My problem is this. On the diagram I have,it appears that the valve seat is removable and has an o-ring on it. To remove the actuating pin, you first have to remove the valve seat.
How does the valve seat come out? Is it just pressed out from the other side by the actuating pin? I'd hate to use force if it isn't required.

I used my brass pick. It has a plastic handle and used the plastic end and just pushed it out from the bottom. Some guys use the eraser end of a pencil. I just did it to mine because I forgot about it.

That same method that Keith uses works great on almost all removable orifices.
